Cage cleaning issue....

The time has come for me to clean my new tiel's (slick) cage.. I am going to try and get him out with a towel while i do it, but I am not sure where should i put him when i have to go outside and blast the grate off? If anyone can help thats great... Keep in mind I have a cat ( kitty kitty) and a pug dog (pugsy). If they need to be put away they can, but what should i do with the untamed slick?

or find a family member that'll babysit him in the bathroom. :) the bathtub has many uses, temporary bird holder is one of them.
