How To Introduce New Birds To Your Flock
U see that many of the memebers on here have more then one bird. My question is how do you introduce a new bird to your flock? I have a Sunday conure and on Monday I will be bringing home a just weaned green cheek conure. Besides the initial quarrentine period, how should I go about getting these two to live together safely? I plan to have seperate cages, but a shared play gym. I was told that the people that previously owned Charlie, my Sunday, rehomed him because he was jeaous of a new bird. I dont know how true that is, but it worries me that this may not go so well. Any advice on this transition is greatly appreciated!

If they don't get along you may end up having to get a second playgym. It's best to start them in the same room in their own cages, but as far apart as possible... and slowly over weeks move them closer together. You can also try having them out together but not in close contact.
