What happened to the Companion Parrot Quarterly?

The most recent issue was published in early 2007, and was several months late. Since then.... nothing. The CPQ website doesn't help, it creates the impression that everything is normal. I requested a refund for the unused portion of my subscription through their online contact form several weeks ago and got no response. I just submitted a second request. Does anyone know what's going on? I found some posts about a webcast that Sally Blanchard (the publisher) did in December, did she say anything about the magazine? Thanks.

I think that Sally has had some issues with closing her business in Loveland& having to relocate, so she hasn't published an issue of CPQ since '07. There are some details about this and subscriptions on the blog portion of her website.

To my knowledge, she has every intention of resuming publications and will honor subscriptions. I don't know if she will be offering refunds.

Thanks for the information! I found the blog post you were talking about at Sally Blanchard in the May 27, 2008 entry. It's a long post, but as far as the future of the magazine is concerned it boils down to this: she's broke right now and can't offer refunds, but she does intend to go on with the magazine. In fact she has an issue that's almost ready but doesn't have the money to get it printed. In lieu of a refund she can give subscribers 10% off on purchases from the sale of her collection.

That blog entry was about 8 months ago but presumably nothing has changed.
