I think it depends on what you're trying to stick it to. I couldn't get mine to stick to anything in my last house, even the clawfoot tub was too old to be smooth enough to keep it on for more than a few minutes. New tiles on the wall, you should be fine, just wet it down. My shower walls here are plastic or something and it's a no go but I just put it on the inside or outside of the tub and that works fine. Think I'll just add a second (sanded down) curtain rod though so my birds have the option of going toward or away from the water.
