You might want to do a search on the forum for 'Chet Womach' to get other peoples opinion.
Personally, I think there's more hype over the products than need be. I also don't think it's worth it to spend so much money on the training CD's. With that said, there are people who swear by Chet and his techniques.

I bought his basic, starter DVD set. The training methods themselves are fine, in my opinion, and I am sure they work, especially since they aren't really any different from what any of the other parrot behaviorists and trainers out there are saying. My only problem with Chet Womach is his marketing strategies. I wish that I had not spent the money on his DVD, not because I feel like the DVD itself was a waste of money, but because I regret supporting his business tactics. I would much rather have spent the money on anything and everything from Barbara Heidenreich. She is the editor of Good Bird magazine, and she is absolutely amazing. For what I paid for Chet's DVD, I could have funded the purchase price of 2 1/2 of her DVD's. I actually had her stuff on my Christmas wish list, even after I bought the stuff from Chet Womach. There are other really good, well-known parrot behaviorists as well. Sally Blanchard (The Companion Parrot) is one that comes to mind. If you haven't already purchased one of Chet's DVD's (or really even if you have), I would very strongly recommend going to Barbara Heidenreich's or Sally Blanchard's website instead. You will learn as much or more from their training products as you would have from Chet Womach, and you probably will pay less for it. If you've already bought Chet's DVD, don't stress. His methods are fine and will do the job.

As Danielle said, Barbara Heidenreich is great. I have bought two of her DVDs and loved them both. She uses positive reinforcement techniques. She presents them in a very easy to copy way.
