Dang, Ducky loves to eat!
Okay, I was in the shower and I forgot to bring him in the bathroom with me. That's really not such a big deal because he doesn't really do anything if I forget (well, except for the time he climbed up on my computer desk and pulled off all the keys to my keyboard). Normally, he'll eventually follow me in. Anyway, after my shower I found him sitting on his cage. No big deal, being a good boy. I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water and right there on the kitchen counter he had ripped open a banana and eaten a whole side. It's not like he ate a part of it at one end, he ate the side of it like one eats a corn on the cob. How he climbed up on the cabinet, at the whole side of a banana and then climbed back down, climbed up on his cage, all while I was in the shower, is beyond me. I come out and he's on his cage acting all innocent.
To top things off, I was a bit hungry so I poached an egg. Well, he wanted some too so I let him have some. He acts like I starve him. Wow! He sure has an appetite!

That is so cute! "You forgot my shower so now I eat your people food!!" He must be fast.
My IRN Grover found the one unlocked door on his cage and now spends all day visiting in everyone elses' cages, eating their different food then takes himself home for bed!

The funny bit is that he likely new exactly how long he had to pull this off and timed himself accordingly! I'm sure he would have kept going at that banana but wanted to make sure he was perched back on top his cage so you couldnt prove it was him!
A few weeks back I had just sat down for dinner and someone came to the front door. I come back to the table (I live alone) and the Nanday had helped himself to my sweet potatoes. I would have never known he did that but I went to share some with him and he had some stuck on the side of his beak! Little bugger. |
