24 hour emergency bird vet in Phoenix, AZ?

I had a bird emergency last night and was very close to needing a vet. The answering service of our usual vet referred me to a 24 hour vet. I called them and they don't take birds! I have been calling all around today to vets, bird shops, etc. and no one seems to know of a vet in all of Phoenix or surrounding area who will see birds past regular hours. What are people supposed to do?! Let their bird die? Does anyone know of a vet in Phoenix who will see bird after hours?

Thank you! I will be calling in the morning. I hope this is a lesson to all of us, that you have to be prepared for an emergency at all hours and know who to call!

Our regular vet, who is not an avian vet but will see birds in a pinch, gave me two more numbers this evening, and I just called and verified that they will treat birds. He said he had to ask around a lot. There are many avian vets but not many who treat after hours.

I go to Dr. Babcock at Palo Verde animal hospital on northern and the 51. They will come in to see your bird for an emergency. I have called more than once at night, and they have given me advice over the phone for my little guys. I credit them with saving my conure's life, when he got a seed stuck in his palate. They extracted it with a tiny endoscope. He is expensive, but I have heard not as bad as Hilary Frank. I recommend him.

I've sent a private message about a place where you can probably get advice.
