Randy,
I don't know anything about Budgies, but I let Tango, my B&G, "drip dry". Some folks use blow dryers but I don't know whether or not mine has Teflon in it, so I don't chance it. I would think as long as there are no drafts and it's 70 or so degrees, he should be fine! |

Hairdryers can also dry out the skin and feathers too much if the bird is completely dry, though if it has no teflon inside it, then the hairdryer can be used to speed the drying process. Most birds do enjoy preening themselves after a bath, and fluffing up while others still enjoy being bundled up in a towel and being loved.

My budgie I just let air dry he seems to do the best job drying off himself. If I think he's cold I'll put him on a flat surface on top of a wash cloth and he rolls around on it. But he doesn't really like to be wrapped up in one. He dries pretty quick.
