Talking My Wild Birds

To start off, this is what I have built for Noel and Casey, even though it is quite dull. I have sisal and cotton rope though have yet to think of anything that I'd like to use specifically for.... less I could get more of it...

The branches and structure of what they live on... Not enclosed in any sort of way

The platform which can be pulled out to clean underneath occasionally

And a better view... which someday I'd like to eventually add more 'layers' to, if I can find some good branches, and maybe even a corner gym to connect with the larger one...

Next, we have the apple tree as it starts to grow leaves...

Sorry if it takes a while to load...

To continue...

At the end of the day, here is what is left behind and what goes on...

Okay, so the photos look like a progression... they're not! Noel use to be able to scale the steps, for the most part, quite easily. Casey would be stuck steps below and ready to take off since she didn't know how to climb the steps. Now, it's the other way around with Noel screaming at me to come help her up the steps... But she knows that once on the porch, for the most part she can make it back inside on her own and back into my room, with me being a choufer, opening doors and showing the way...

I forgot their showers! In the first view is of our back porch (and a crappy backyard... been needing someone to come and help us remove the junk back there once again) with the birds and the white cage...

The next few photos are more recent... and I was as carefull as I could be, even if a bit scared.... Smurf was flirting far too much as he was finally back with his girls, or GIRL and rarily noticed the rain...

Wink

And the last invasion of photos that I've been wanting to share but didn't quite have the time to fix each individual one untill I tried out a new program from a disk my mother bought me for photos and movies! :D

That should be enough for now! Unless of course you enjoyed viewing these photos and wish for a few more... that is if it didn't take you too long to view these photos and you wish to view more... check out this link! http://community.webshots.com/album/344640926CNxyen/0

Oh geeze...

And after having to redo the photos (forgot, webshots don't work here...) and leaving one photo out accidently, I had forgotten about the two videos...

Here is Noel outside chewing on some flowers and keeping herself alert (no sound but wind mainly)
http://www.birdboard.com/album/showp.../cat/528/page/

Here Noel is trying to 'jump', as her wings are useless to her in the ability to fly (sadly to say, she tumbles down like a rock). Little brat she is taking the easy way out! You'll be able to most notify me going "ch ch ch" then at the very end, you'll hear Smurf do something very similar. It sounds as if he is copying me, coping Noel doing her "tch tch tch"...

Beautiful pics, Monica! I love that playgym, how does it stand up with just 2 legs? I must admit I get nervous seeing a cockatiel out in the open as even clipped ones can fly pretty well. How do you keep them from taking off? I like the stair climbing pic too-that is so cute!

Your pictures are just lovely. I especially like the one of the 'teil with the dark clouds behind. That's my favorite. Thanks for sharing!

Such gorgeous photos of Noel and Casey! Aren't you worried about them out in the open though?! They are so lucky to have such a caring birdmom
