Buy or build breeder boxes?

I have had men in my family build breeder boxes for me in the past. Well now I'm in need of two more.

Instead of waiting a month or two for the procrastinators in my family, I've decided it'd be better to just go ahead and buy some this time around. I thought I could find some at the local bird show, but I was proved wrong.
Does anyone know a good website to buy from? Anyone else build their own or buy?
Thanks
Kate

I've built them before. Not that difficult. I'd build you one but shipping from here to AL. would be crazy.

if you have the know how on how to, then why not build it yourself. you can design it exactly how you want it. If it I was able to, then I would build it myself. Not only do you save money, you can really make something that will last for years if taken care of. The only thing is to check and see what types of wood are safe and untreated!

What type of bird are you needing a box for? The reason being, I have a breeding box that is brand new that I originally bought for use for snakes (I am a die hard reptile person as well) that was modified slightly (one side is plexiglass that could be covered) but basically for the same thing. It would be around the senegal/conure size. I am in TN, and it is hanging out in a closet untouched. PM me if you are interested.

If Odhinn can't make them we buy them from petsmart. I think they only have parakeet and cockatiel sizes though.

Yeah I haven't found a petstore that carries them bigger than cockatiel size. Maybe I'll try to go to the upcoming show in Atlanta and see what I can find. We just dont have the tools to build them and Im really not a builder-type person. =)
