I am really sorry for your loss and it saddens me that you have had to endure all of the apparent B.S. the first Vet laid on you. (I dont think the baby food was the cause and I doubt honestly that the vet could at the time really pinpoint why the necropsy showed what it did. I too agree with the internal injuries.) I would not go back to him for any reason. I would however take the Grey to the second Vet and have a Gram Stain and a CBC done just for peace of mind. Warmest Wishes to you.

Sorry for your loss. I am wondering if it's pulmonary embolism that caused the death. Was his breathing labored? I wonder if it is the same with people.....bone fractures can cause blood clots.

I agree.. NOT the food. I do know that you have to be very very careful with anesthesia with birds too. I'm so sorry about your loss. I agree with the second vet. PErhaps you should switch vets?

Sorry to hear about your loss - especially the way it happened. It is good to know what the "cause" was of the loss - but in some cases we may never really know.

I imagine we could come up with as many "reasons" as there are people on this board. None of which helps. You have lost a friend...

Enjoy the life that he did have and know that, even though it was a short one, he had a good life.
