male or female? is one better than the other?

Ok, so I have another question-will probably be having a lot of them :) - I keep hearing about how the BG macaws get hormonal around breeding season, is this just for the females or do the males get moody too? are there any other differences between male and females as far as their temperment/behavior?

Males get arressive and moody and unless you can shorten their breeding season you could have on cranky birdie on the loose

I don't know about macaws. In zons, males can be much more hormonal that females. In Eclectus, females can be much more hormonal than males. These are generalizations, not 100% true, of course.

Not everyone checks all of the sections. Try posting this in the Macaw section. As Willow said it varies. In lovebirds the females are very aggressive. I have no really experience with macaws in this matter.
