okay so when i got Petrie i was told that he was a Normal grey cockatiel. But from pictures iv looked at on the web the males have dark gray feathers with white wing covers. well my Petrie's grey is a light color and the white wing patches seem to be outlined in yellow. is this normal or is he a different mutation of cockatiel.
heres some pictures hope they help. hes eating sprouts in it for the first time. i tried to get picturres that would get his coloring in from multiple angles ![]() ![]() ![]()

He still looks like a normal... although it looks like the flash is washing out his colors making him appear lighter than he really is. Cinnamon cockatiels may have a brownish tinge to them.... although my cinnamon pearl pied is a light grey color, not brownish.

Vlad is cinnamon, or at least that's what they called him when they sold him to me! He is a lighter shade of grey than the normals but doesn't have any brownish tint as far as I can tell. The hint of brown was much more noticeable on the two regular-cinnamon babies that Buster and Shodu produced last year, but not on their whiteface cinnamon chick.
Here's Vlad: ![]() It's hard to tell what Petrie is from the pictures - it could go either way. The best way to compare is to find some live cockatiels at a pet shop or something, and see which kind looks more like Petrie.

Normal grey split pied I'm pretty sure. He almost certainly isn't cinnamon, from what I can see... here's another example of cinnamon...
