Out of the two most common birds in the world Cockatiels and budgies. Which do you prefer?

for me as a budgie owner it would be budgie of course. :) I'm not biased or anything

I have a fondness for cockatiels, however personality-wise I suppose they're both equal in my mind.

I have not owned either, but for a while I did want a budgie.
I'd have to say, I'd probably choose a budgie over a cockatiel.

Apples and oranges my friend. We have both and they are completely different birds with their own strengths and weaknesses. Both makes great pets.

I'd prefer budgies. The cockatiel squawking hits my eardrums at the wrong pitch and I find it extremely irritating.

LOL They definitely are apples and oranges. I was considering getting a lutino. I think their just beautiful but the dust is an issue for me. I am already always worried about breathing in the dander. I'm the biggest worrier. But yeah my friends white face does this groaning noise that sounds really weird and she said he does it for like an hour at a time sometimes. Not really a squawker but the noise is odd and would get annoying if he went on and on. But tiels do have the exotic look to me. And of course without having a big bird personality.

Talking

I have to say that I would over all prefer budgies over cockatiels. First of all I grew up with budgies, second the dust and high pitched sound of the cockatiels just drives me nuts. I find that budgies if taken the time out to tame make absolutely amazing pets. Not to mention the variety in colours, also some can be really good talkers as well. There is just something about budgies that just warms my heart, they can be amazingly wonderful birds.

I agree. I just looooove budgies. I love some other types of birds too. It is hard for some to understand the love of budgies when they get into the real big exotics but I just love them.

Tiels.

I only know one bug though... and she's very standoffish of humans, flighty, and fidgety.
