Unhappy biting wildly after ong periods in cage

hello
just wonderin if anyone can help?
i have a GCC who is extremely tame most of the time except when i come home from work (8hrs a day mon-wed). he wants to get out of the cage and is happy to hop on my hand but then he starts biting me wildly. he is very clever and i spend alot of my time with him outside of wrk but the biting is turning me off - dont know wot to do!

He sounds hyper, let him flap on your hand maybe to get some energy out after being cooped up. How big is his cage?

When I first brought home my GCC he was very quiet and tame. AS time went by he went through a phase where he would start attacking me, and it hurt. After much reading up I came to realize that it was a phase, probably due to hormones. It did pass and now he's fine. Hang in there, dont stop giving him attention because of it. I'm sure it will pass. good luck.

thanku for your advice.
his cage is centred in middle of our lounge room (high traffic) when we are at home. his cage is quite large for a bird of his size, with ladders, balls with bells and other toys to keep him amused. ive tried leaving telly on to see if it helps but to no avail.
