The wild parrots of telegraph hill

I just saw "The wild parrots of Telegraph Hill" last night...it is a great movie. All about red headed conures that live wild in California that have meet a human friend.
Has anybody else seen it?? It is a new release at the theaters right now. I know the book is out there too.
I cried sooooo much, it was very touching. I enjoyed it lots.

It's definitely on my "must see" list ... after H2G2 and that Star Wars bit.

I wanted to see it when it was in the Phila. area, but because of schedule conflicts, I wasn't able to. I guess I'll just have to wait for the DVD.

Cool, I gotta check my movie guide also. I saw the short T.V. documentary on them quite awhile back, the movie sounds like fun. :) ....

The Flock Just Flew By

BS"D

On my way to a client site today, just as I reached the peak of Divisadero, the raucous in-flight calls of the flock got my attention. Looking out the windscreen, I watched the flock of about 14-16 bright green (most cherry-headed, but not all) conures fly by, on their way to the Eucalyptus groves of the Presidio. Since sf is a small (7x7) city, I see them fly by usually 3-5 times a week. Really a beautiful sight.

How amazing! How many would you say there were in the flock?

I want to see this movie also. I'll have to check the show schedules to see if it's even coming to Toledo.
