Kashmir Csaky (Macaw Mama), a quality breeder of Hyacinth and Scarlet macaws since 1985, writes articles for the Pet Bird Report about raising and living with macaws. She has kept several of the macaws she raised as her companions and she shares her perceptions of their behavior and the ways we communicate with each other. Kashmir is active in the International Aviculturists Society and the World Parrot Trust.
