DNA results on my new CAG are in....

It's a girl!

Now I have no excuse left to not give this girl a name...other than I'm just not good at coming up with anything that seems to fit. I would like to find something that fits her calm, sweet, lady-like demeanor. And maybe something she could learn to say. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Michele

Before I found out Arthur was a boy I was thinking of Poppy for a girl CAG. The red and the grey remind me of a poppy flower. Please feel free to use the name if you like it, limited chance of me getting another CAG.

Oh and congratulations on your little girl.

Well, Grace or Gracie for Princess Grace or Diana for Princess Diana. But, my female is Yobo and my male is Radar. They came with those names and I like them anyway.

I named my Macaws with Latin names since they are native of S. America. Lola and Rosalita (Rosie).

And my Chihuahua's have Mexican names, Paco and Chico.

I start researching sites with baby names too. My only real suggestion is to find a simple name she can say. Both Radar and Yobo say their names.

Where did you get her dna'ed through? I'm thinking about doing the same for my sun conure.

She is a pretty girl!

An excellent name-suggestion site is Nymbler - Your Personal Baby Name Assistant . You can put in names you like, or names that are the "type" of names you're trying to think of, and it will give you enndless suggestions that you might like based on your selections. It's pretty fun!

I'm completly in love with the name Fiona now! (Thanks mabird!) I think Poppy is a cute name for a Grey too. I'd second the baby name websites. It's really difficult sometimes and other times, it just fits.

Tootie's real name is Belle Pepper (named in honor of the greatly missed Mr. Habanero Pepper, our previous sun conure who taught me the true wonders of birdie-ownership!) Do you have anyone special to name her after??

My Poppy is a male, but I feel it suits either. Congratulations on your new baby girl. I like to look at the pics & see what pops in my head first & for her it was "Darla"!
