My B&G came to me from a horrible situation where some j@ck@ss thought he was going to breed birds to sell for profit. He was also a slumlord cretin but, let's just talk about Lola. He acquired two B&G's and stuck them in the basement of one of his 'slum' properties and didn't feed them, give them water etc. The male died. Two college kids who were friends of the cretin's son somehow went down to the basement of this slum and saw Lola in a cage with so much crap at the bottom, no perch or anything and she was just clinging to the side of the cage. They knew they could not leave her there so they scraped up money and bought her from the creep. They nursed her back and brought out her personality. However, they being students and going off couldn't keep her. So they found me. I adopted her and she is such a great bird. I keep in constant contact with the kids and let them know she will never be abused and neglected again.
