Sometimes the painfully obvious escapes me. I've been planning to do an outside aviary soon for my boys. I was told the dog run the rabbits in would work as the metal had been outside for a few years. I was told to just scrub it down with vinegar. I was also told I could use non-toxic paint, which I know peels off unless you do a really good priming job, but even then it comes off. Anyhow, I also have a huge trampoline frame that I've been trying to get rid of and even advertised it for free and there were no takers. The bars go high up for a safety net. Today, I was outside and looked at it and had a "duh" moment. it would be a perfect aviary. The question is what would I use to enclose it that's safe, not a nightmare to construct, and doesn't cost millions of dollars. Or, am I just better off enclosing the bottom half of the trampoline frame and putting the bunnies in there? Ideas? Here is the frame I have (see links below).
