Question Can you help me out wiht choosing another bird.

I want to get another bird. i want to get one that has a huge personality and is very active. Also one that is very intelligant and loves to be cuddled. It also has to be a medium to small bird $200 or under. the cage is no problem because i have a huge spare cage free. Also id like a bird that lives 15+ years. I was thinking of maybe a lovebird.

IMO cuddled is up to each bird. And I can't think of any bird that fits all your list for under 200 dollars but if you were to save up the first bird that come to mind is a Caique.
They are small but not tiny like a love bird. They are huge clowns and love attention any way they can get it. But you well need a fairly large cage they are very active and more the 200 bucks.
Sorry only bird that comes to mind. They run about 600 on up for the black cap ones. Not sure about the other they are harder to find in this area.
Good Luck

I can't remember what country you're from. That will make a difference in prices and suggestions from me.

I also thought of a caique. You could try to adopt one as this would make it cheaper. If you are in the US you could try petfinder.com .

What do you consider a "huge" cage? I know sometimes people's ideas vary.

A green cheek or a quaker or a parrotlet or a lovebird might fall into your specifications. I will advise that you think long and hard about this. If I remember correctly you're younger (nothing wrong with that! I fell in love with birds when I was 15!), so I would try and choose a species that can live in an apartment in case you end up in that type of setting. I'd also suggest you stay away from quakers since they are illegal in many areas.

I have a parrotlet - and love her but she's not exactly cuddly. Does fit the rest of your requirements though.

Next birt I want is going to be a caque though!

Is compatibility with cockatiels a requirement? Tiels are generally more mellow than a lot of other species and might get picked on or even hurt as a result. A parrotlet can easily intimidate a cockatiel even though it's smaller, and sometimes lovebirds will actually kill a cockatiel. Sometimes budgies get along with cockatiels and sometimes they don't - the budgie might beat up the cockatiel and vice versa. Many of the birds that are about the same size as a tiel (the smaller conures, senegals, etc) have much larger beaks, so if there was a fight the cockatiel would be at a big disadvantage.

Here's a suggestion for something unusual: a Princess of Wales parakeet. I don't know much about them and you'd need to do some research to find out if they're actually suitable, plus they're not all that common. I don't know how they feel about cuddling. But they're absolutely gorgeous, are slightly larger than a cockatiel with a relatively small beak, and have a reputation for gentleness. I was lusting after them at a bird mart today!

Here are some links about them:

My princess lives with the 'tiel colony and gets along with them brilliantly. Ok she can be a little bossy at times but I certainly wouldn't say aggressive. As far as pet quality I have heard some good reports. They have a beautiful whistle to them and certainly aren't a terribly loud bird. They are a lovely gentle bird.
