New WINGDOW seat for Jazz!

Sunday night while browsing Ebay, (my guilty pleasure) I found a wingdow for sale by the Mfg. It was 20% off regular retail. Since Jazz has been trying to destroy the woodwork while on his window perch, I figured it was cheaper to get the wingdow than replace my woodwork every other month, not to mention the aggravation of acually getting my DH to replace the molding.

Monday morning when I got home from work, there was a lovely note from Aleta at Wingdow, Inc. Inquiring what type of bird, so they could custom fit the size of the perch, and the height of the perch within the Wingdow itself.
They made the changes I requested, and shipped it out the same day.

Yesterday I was very lucky and got to go see a play on Broadway in the afternoon, and when I got back, the Wingdow had already arrived!

We assembled it after dinner took 10 mins. no tools :) and stuck it in the Window. Jazz climbed right in, we hung a toy in there, dropped some cedar nuts and he loves it!

He has been in there about an hour so far today, yelling and talking up a storm.
You can see how its made better in the night time shots, but he really loves it during the day.

Right now he's yelling "C'mere, C'mere, I got you beak good birdie! peekaboo
peek a bird ! " at the birds in the cherry tree outside my window.

This is a pricey item but if it saves my windows, and gives him this much pleasure, it was well worth it. The people at Wingdow were really a pleasure to deal with.

He looks happy! He's such a cutie pie I need to get a couple of those. It's nice to hear that the company was so helpful. Ordering on line can be a bit scary sometimes but they sound like a good company.

I have been thinking about adding a few of those when we finally get our house! I have a Wingabago that I love, and I bet these would be a hit with the birds.

I have seen them in magazines but you are the first person I know who has bought one. It is really very nice and you are right, if it saves your woodwork it is worth every penny.

I love Jazz.

Well this is my "Jazz fix" for the week!

I actually bought a small one of these years ago for my conure & tiel.
My tiel loves it and will stay hours on it. My conure tends to get
off it to go exploring. But the tiel is the one who eats wood. Much of
my computer desk has tiel bite marks on it.

It is a quality made piece and it is easy to move from window to window or take along if you travel so your parents or friends windows don't get eaten :)

Thanks for sharing!!!

More Jazz, More Jazz, More Jazz pics, pics, pics :)

Wow I have been considering one of those for awhile but in the magazine pictures it did not look that big, so I figured my guys would not like it. After seeing your pictures its nice and big.
Your Jazz is adorable you should send those pictures to the mfg. I am sure they would love to see their product being loved.

Happy this has worked out for you! I've often seen it in adds in magazines and always wondered if a bird would just stay put (mine would have a tendency to go exploring I think).

(OT: Is that cactus in an egg holder?)
