Went to a bird sale on the weekend and...

I bought nothing. Went in with cash and even a travel box. Ok I didn't buy anything there but...

I got chatting to a guy who had some young princess parrots. Explained that I was looking for a partner for my female that was mature. Well he actually has a guy at home that fits what I want. He also thinks he has a particular mutation cockatiel I'm after to complete my pairings with the 'tiel colony.

Male blue princess and a w/f pearl pied cockatiel hen were all I was after. Whilst I didn't strictly speaking buy any birds I have got myself set up to get the last 2 guys I need for pairings.

Moral of the story, if at a bird sale and you can't see exactly what you want in the way of a certain colouring or age check with someone who has some of these birds on display. You never know what they may have at home that they can help you out with.

Oh I did have a good time sooking over a young Ekkie boy but I've got my hands full (and bird room full) with companions now. Really do love those green boys though.
