looking for advice - chewing flight feathers or simply molting/clumbsy?

So I think Lola has gone from chewing her leg feathers (a problem we have corrected and new feathers have already appeared!) to chewing her flight feathers!

I'll attach a few pictures - This is the 3rd time she has had a feather like this in the last montha nd a half. The first time we (my Vet included) chalked it up to her being clumbsy and flapping on the top of her cage and breaking it.

But since then, she has had another feather like this, and now today there is yet another!

AH!

Lately she has been a lot more nippy (she is usually a love machine) so the thought of her possibly starting to molt has occured to me - but there are only a few feathers (other than the three flight feathers) that we have found lately. I also wanted to point out there is no blood or anything assoiated with this.

What I am trying to find out is if this is in fact neurotic, molting, or her just breaking feathers? If you have any/all advice please let me know.. if not I'll just be heading to the vet again :eusa_wall

okay - so there is something definately wrong... I was just giving her her favorite food (blackberries) which she usually takes very eagerly. But instead of taking the food she made a point to inflict some damage on my finger.. I am not afraid of bites, and generally I understand "why" she has bitten me in the past, but this was no "I scared"-type bite.. she was out for blood. I am still trying to stop the bleeding!

PLEASE if you have any advice - post away... I want my love bird back!

edit: All this has been going on the last two weeks. There have been no changes in her environment, food/eating habits, bathing habits .. all her favorite toys are readily available.. argh

How old is she? From what I have read, there can be several stages of "pulling back" that are normal.

She is three years old - Unknown birthdate, though (till trying to find out her past!)

I adopted her in February, and she had been plucking her legs and was on a seed-only diet.

She is now on Harrisons
