The right size cage question has no 1 correct answer but I'm guessing you already knew that :P I personally use a (aprox) 24"x18"x36" but Pogo doesn't spend more than a couple of hours throughout the entire day in it and then it's usually open on top anyway. The rest of her day is spent on me. At the local pet store they have a double cage that is 8' x 4' x 8' for $900.00. When we get our second bird it is the cage we plan on going with. I figure that way if I want the bird to spend more time in the cage I can get in to :P JK!!

Here's another one Loro Flight Cage by Avian Adventures - We Ship for FREE (30 X 24 X 36H)

The HG flight cage is (32 X 21 X 35)

Both have 1/2 in bar spacing. One is a lot more expensive than the other.

I really like the HQ cages. I have the flight and also some of the wrought iron cages that are 24 x24. My wrought iron 24 x 24 cage has been here for at least 9 years - I think longer than that and it is still in great condition - looks almost new.

There are some places that will ship and have specials including free shipping.
I didn't pay shipping for my flight.

I believe this is where I got my cage from.

We paid about $100 for our cage at PetsMart and I don't anticipate having to replace it anytime soon. We bought a very large rat cage, which has 1/2 inch spacing I believe. It's got horizontal bars where most bird cages have vertical bars, so that gives us much more versatility to choose where to put perches. It's also all metal including the mottom tray. The bird cages in the same price range all had plastic trays, which I was concerned would hold germs and that our conure might try to chew through. The way we've got it set up with bird toys, you'd never know just by looking at it that it was a rat cage unless you recognized the cage model.
