are the untreated wooden toys at stores like Michaels safe?
They have these cute little pine dinosaurs that are adorable that I wanted to use for making toys and these nifty little tiny pine flower pots that i wanted to use for foraging toys.

I'd only worry about the stuff that has been glued together somehow as you don't know what the glue is. I use their wood shape cut-out hearts and stars for chewies for my budgies.

We use wooden things from Michael's for our bird. Just as long as you make sure it has no wood stain etc on it. I'd also think that plain wooden dowels from a hardware store would be safe for perches, as long as they are NOT the green colored treated ones and are just natural wood.
