Odd sleeping ways
Well I am discovering more and more oddities with Lola than I ever thought to be possible.
When I opened up her cage this morning I discovered her with a toy ball over her head and around her neck. I just about freaked. I removed it and that did NOT make her very happy and she took it back very quickly. I removed it from her cage and went to work. I come back and her other ball that she had was whole when I left, I come back and this is what I find. ![]() So once again I took it off her head and she again stole it back from me. And began to snuggle with it. ![]() and proceeded to put it back on her head again. ![]() ![]() So now I figure ok well if she wants it that badly to be that way then she can. It is like her little baby. She has to have it with her when she is on my shoulder, when she is eating. She always has it with her one way or the other. This bird is just getting weirder and weirder every day I spend with her. I wonder what she is going to show me next. |

i can under stand why you freaked out hehe..
she does look snug in there though.. she seemks like a real cuddle bug.. does she have a happy hut or sleeping tent?.. she may take a shine to that more than stuffing her head into that small ball.. a conure with a teddy bear.. thats really sweet.. |

Yes she does have one but I have NEVER seen her get into it. But she sure does go for this. But I think Conures just have odd ways. I used to own one before that liked to sleep with her head stuck up in a bell and put her foot around her neck.
