My New member to the family

[FONT="Tahoma"]Hello all, I had a question about my Sun Conure...She is 1.5 year old and I just bought her from her first owner who did not train her at all. She was locked up in a cage most of the time and I couldnt leave without her after seeing the way they had her.

She's spends most of her time outside her cage now and goes in for food or to play with her toys.

Is it too late to train her? I mean she lets me touch her and feed her. She goes on my shoulder when I'm cleaning or fixing the cage and when she does that she nibble on my lip and ear. She won't step up when I want her to and she doesn't say anything but she gets loud when I enter the room to get my attention and she gets loud when I leave to room. I want alot more out of her. I want to be able to take out and play with her and teach her tricks and stuff. Is it too late for her?[/FONT]

It's NEVER too late, especially when the right motivated, loving parront comes along!
Everything happens for a reason & you found her for a reason!
Not to mention, she sounds far from wild... you two ladies will be just fine!
Just have a lot of patience... she's gotten away with being lazy for a year and half... she may resist & is sure to test you a bit.
