Anyone have this Kings Cage Playgym?

King's Cages Toys Acrylic Interconnecting Playgym

Kings Cages usually makes good products, so I'm wondering what the quality of this playgym is like.

Thanks.

Jo

I'm also making a pvc stand, but want to have three or four places in our house for my bird to go.

depends on the bird size. I have purchased several for the shop and even sent one out as a gift, but it is for smaller species.

I'm getting a green cheek conure, and was wondering about the size. Do you think it's large enough for green cheeks and cockatiels?

Do the birds like it in your shop?

Thanks!

I actually dont have birds in the shop, but work with rescues to find older birds new homes.

I would say, prob not. Its more for plets, & keets.the diameter of the acrylic would probably allow your birds to get their toes all the way around, and prob touch. Its a real nice gym, can re assemble it and move things around on it, but its not one you want to be carrying around, because it does not attach to the base.

I"ll get the person who I bought one for to come on and answer to see what she thinks...she would maybe be a better judge.

Ooo Ooo I have that setup!

I think it would actually be fine for a greencheek. I use it for my plets and its a good diameter but because it is acrylic I'd think it be fine for a slightly larger bird, since more 'grippage' is needed. Probably ok for cockatiels too. It has a variety of widths so it should be ok.. certainly not a bird bigger then a gcc/tiel though.

I am sure it would be too small for either of our birds. It looks Plet or Budgie size. Our little black capped (slightly smaller/same size as green cheek) would not use something that small. We had a wood gym that size for him and he did't like it. Ours would not be fussy about the acrylic either. They have very expensive acrylic toys and don't bother with them. LOL

Beetle's breeder used that gym for baby lovebirds... not sure if she did for green-cheeks.

It's nicely made, though! I think that they last quite a long time :)
