Hormones hitting big time!

My lovie, Pixel is really testing my patience these days with his constant humping and moodswings. He humps his rope perch constantly in his cage and when he's out he goes straight for my feet. Even if I'm standing he climbs down from my shoulder.
I recently bought a black towel to put over his cage at night and he gets 10 hours of total darkness every night. The guy at the birdstore told me I shouldn't let him hump my feet but when I tell him NO he obeys but gets oh so moody and nippy. He just comes running for my fingers and he's got quite a beak for such a little fellow!
I thought this was going to be a phase that would take a couple of weeks but it's getting ridiculous! It's all he ever wants to do!
I need some advice here!

Mine's going through the same thing right now... breeding season! There are days I want to strangle him.. but just be patient. It will take a couple months, but it will pass. Give him lots of stuff to chew on and/or beat up to help get that frustration out and some good protein in his diet.
I had mine checked by the vet just to make sure and yep! It's hormones.
