And the birds become flighted!

Jeremy has been flying around pretty good for about a month now... she is awesome and ever since Little Foot saw Jeremy flying she is also taking off in the house...

We will open the sliding glass door and let them fly outside into our little avairy.. (it's all inclosed)

I don't think Little Foot really gets the whole flying forward thing though LOL
She kind of hoovers like a helicopter but doesn't usually go anywhere... either that or she will fly straight up... not sure where she got that from LOL

Yay for flighted birds! You can almost see it in there face when they get to where they want to go! They are so proud of themselves!!!

they will learn to fly, hoover, turn, soar, glide, etc. its what birds do best. no wonder they're happy.

it's actually really cool to see too!

I was cracking up because 1 of my conures likes to stand on the couch or on me and flap like crazy for fun, but now that her feathers are grown in she surprises herself because she will hover for a minute.

The first time she did it she landed and looked at me... I could have sworn she was thinking "What the heck happened?!"

It was too cute.

I love it! There is nothing like arriving home and having my girl fly downstairs, land on my shoulder and promptly clamp-on my ear... :-) Not in a hurtful way... just a "where were you all day" sort of way...

Aww Chipper, what a beautiful clear picture. I'm all for the in house bombing too. Puffletoo is growing his first flight feathers since his post flighting clip, they're funny and symmetrical one in the middle of each wing, looks like he's flipping me off when he flaps. :O Will be nice not getting slapped in the eye with the cut feathers!

Chipper is a widdle girl, hehe. I know, Chipper is not a girl name. When my sister and I were little girls, my dad used to tell us made up stories about a chimp named Chipper... Chipper stories. SO, I knew I had to name her Chipper.

Chipper stories, good memories.
