Sounds like possibly a female with the pearls though males usually don't loose their pearls till they are 1 1/2 to 2 years old. It might be possible to tell the sex by a picture, though as far as pearls go, it may be harder or easier if the bird has been going through a molt since hatching. Females of course keep pearls, most males loose pearls...
Indeed, whiteface tiels do not have the orange patches. The males have a clear white face, while females have a mottled grey face with white patches.
