He is settling in wonderfully. I bring his cage into the livingroom and let him hang out on top and he such a sweetie. Once QT is over, I'll bring his cage in from the bird room in the mornings when I bring the boys out to their stands. Yesterday he was feeling a bit nippy so I left him alone. This morning I brought his cage out and opened the door for him. I went to put my hand near the perch and asked if he wanted to step up. He actually had his little foot raised before I even reached the perch.
I applaud the previous owners for taking him from a neglectful home. But it is a bit frustrating. The cage is a good size. but inside was one dowel perch and a mirror. There was also one of those bird portector things that stink terrible and a cuttle bone. Nothing to chew or really play with. The owners weren't cruel, just not very informed.
