They all have some pied genes in them. Here's a good page with photos of different varieties of budgies. Even the two dark blue ones have small patches of white on the backs of their heads showing they are pieds. Last summer Lucky and Thistle got together and had 14 babies. Most were recessive pieds. I am not a breeder and don't plan on having any more breeding birds in this house. It was just something fun to do once. It was hard to find good homes for them all, I was probably too picky about it, which is why I kept four of the babies (Freckles, Simon, Primrose, and Otulissa).

I love the second picture with Moki upside down. He looks just like he's sitting but he's doing it wrong, and the 2 budgies looking at him like "whaaaat?"

Moki has been so mad at me today since that photo session. He finally came around with some food bribes. I think he knew we were laughing at him, and he does hold grudges for awhile.
