birdie strollers?

I started walking in the evenings a few weeks ago. I get out and walk about 3 miles while hubby watches the boys. I am only out about an hour and the park is beautiful with a pond and trees.
My birds are clipped but not harness trained. I am thinking of making a stroller type thing for them. I have no doubt the boys would eat a pet stroller from a store. I have seen pics of ones somewhere. It was basically a stripped down baby stroller and a wire cage was attached. Has anyone done this? Anyone have pics?

I've seen some jury rigged: a travel cage mounted onto a baby stroller. I don't have photos unfortunately, but I love the idea! Let me ask the person who built one if they can send some pictures for me to post.

That is kinda what I had seen. Basically a wire dog cage mounted to a stroller frame. My oldest son finishes school today so I think I'll take the kids to petsmart and petco. I won't spend a fortune since they could chew it up, but they often have them for under 100. I think they would enjoy a chance to get out and get some fresh air.

Well, if money is no object, here is EXACTLY what you are looking for:

Foldable Cart For Pak-o-Bird (Small and larger size with13" width)

But it is very spendy! The cart alone is $125 and the carrier depends on the size, and whether you get stainless steel mesh. I just came back from a winning trip to Vegas, so I splurged and ordered a medium customized carrier for my CAG!

I abolutely LOVE that stroller! I definitely do not have the nerve to get one and use it, not in the middle of NYC!

If I lived in the suburbs, I'd use it around my neighborhood, though!

These are not strollers but they are cheaper. They are like backpacks: European Escape Bird Carrier . Other sites may sell different brands for different prices. I have also seen cat and dog strollers at pet stores that you might be able to use.

I wonder if it would work with a small size doggie stroller, since they are so much cheaper.

I would be them a harness and train them with that. Cost less, takes up less room in the house, can use it in car and around the yard.

Have harnesses for the birds here and they work great, Aviator harness and leash. Can get them at our local bird store for $25 plus tax.

The park is so full of dogs that using a harness there might not be safe. I am going the doggie stroller route. I really need something with wheels. I absolutely love the birdie one, but there is no way I could spend that much. Petsmart has a doggie stroller for only $69. I think I can set it up so they will have things to do in there instead of eating it. I'll have to post a pic of what I get:)

i would skip the stroller and get a yard wagon from your local home depot that i could just set a pet carrier inside of, and pull it behind me. with the nice wheels and pin locking sides. for easy set up and take down
