Question Is this technique good? Any sudgestions?

Im trying to get our new budgies to eat pellets. At first i tried mixing seed with pellet but they threw the pellets out. so i decided to blend the pellets into a powder and then mix it with some water and seeds. It almost looks like a neutriberry. They do eat it but idk if this will get them to eat pellets. I have a bowl of pellets in the cage 24/7 and they do peck at it every so often. Whats a good way to get them to eat pellets. do you think this will work?

If that's working, gradually increase the size of the pellets that you are crushing up and see how that goes.

You also could try putting pellets in the cage first thing in the morning when they are hungriest (no food in cage at night). After an hour or two you do need to put in the regular food, and I'd keep the seed mixed with pellets. You don't want them losing weight, but you do want them to try the pellets. Don't forget fresh food also, mostly fresh vegetables. They are important to feed whatever else they are getting.
