I have seen freezed dried fruits and veggies at Drs. Foster and Smith and was wondering if these are as nutritious as frozen or fresh. Also, I am wondering if these will cause fruit flies like using frozen and fresh. I am having a considerable problem with them right now and would like to get rid of them once and for all. I have tried the vinegar in the bottle which a cone and it is working rather well, but doesn't catch them all.

Freeze drying is supposed to be an excellent way to retain nutrients. So is dehydration, and here's a line of dehydrated fruits and veggies that can be found at many natural foods grocery stores: Just Tomatoes, Etc.!
As far as I know, fruit flies aren't interested in dry food. I don't have any problems with them, but they're not as common here in the desert as they are in moister climates.
