What a switch-bird not in the mood for me!

Now this never happened to me before-Jezebel spent a good deal of time with me this afternoon, and when I took a nap, she was on my bed.

Now, she's on one of her perches and very quiet. Unusually quiet. Like in a mood quiet. Every time I go over to her to make sure she's ok, I say hello and give her a kiss. She quietly moves away from me and takes position somewhere else until I leave her alone. Then she returns to her original position on the perch.

I guess she wants quiet time away from me! Very interesting.

Talking

That is not unusual in fact very normal. Birds have their good days and their bad days and as they grow older they change to. Don't worry, hugs

Thanks tabooh, I'm ok with it. I find it very interesting. I love that she has a mind of her own and doesn't always have to be with me!

Well that didn't last very long-five minutes later she was on my chest cuddling. I guess she needed a short hiatus!

One of the pros of parrot ownership- you have to earn their love an trust, they don't just give total adoration to anyone who notices them like dogs do. They truly are very special.
