Dave and Bing on their new Net by Nate

Believe it or not, Bing was the first to try it out. He can be brave...at times.

This might be my favorite picture of Davey. If you look closely you can see evidence of plucking or whatever on his back, chest and legs. At first I thought it was just a heavy molt but I started finding too many feathers that were in pieces for that to be true. They were doing a lot of heavy roadwork in front of our rectory (outside their window) for over a week. I am hoping that that was the reason. In the past week or so there has been little evidence of additional destruction. ARGHHHHHH.

Bing has been letting some new feathers come in. I don't know how long it will last so I'm just enjoying them while he has them. He still looks rough but if you look at his picture in my signature you can see that there has been some progress. Bing might be on this earth to teach me to live in the moment, one day at a time.

Brotherly love? Don't believe it. This is about as close as they get without going after each other. And don't think the little one doesn't start it sometimes too.

By the way, the net was made by a fellow BB member Greencinacheeks. I have no skills to do these things, I even needed someone to help me hang it, but it is beautiful. Thanks Nate!!!

You know, I wonder if any of the priests in my area have parrots... or pets, for that matter. I recall one having a dog but that's about it.

Davey and Bing look great :)

Love the net -- greencina did a wonderful job!

I am happy with the way his chest is coming in but as I've said, I take it day by day. There was nothing going on in his life to lead me to believe he would start this (back when I believed there had to be a reason) so I have no idea what to expect in the future. I have continued with the Pluck No More plus all of the things the vet told me. In the end if I learned anything from all of this it is that plucked or full feather I wouldn't trade him for the world. I love the two of them even if I had no idea how much they would turn my life upside down (another thing I thought I had studied and had a competent understanding about)!!!!!

I can't speak for Nate but I bet he would.
