They're plotting against me...

Lately my zon has been making a really unusual vocalizations. It falls into the catergory of annoying at best. I am a pro at "ignore what you don't like and praise what you like", but I finally broke down yesterday and told Tigger to shut up.... Bad Mommy
Anyway, I am busy making a batch of sprouts and dinner is on the stove. I have been watching a friend's daughter for over a year now and she is sleeping in the other room. This young girl has a condition which gives her an very unusual sounding cry. I hear Tigger start his weird sound and it finally dawns on me after several weeks what it is. I called me 12 year old in the room and had him listen. He knew exactly what it was. Tigger is imitating the baby's cry. That is all I need!
Wait, it get worse. I now am up to my elbows in the sink, and I'm still thinking about the crying amazon in the other room. And the timer on the stove goes off, and so does Tweety. That dang tiel beeping right along with the timer. The timer is off, but no, not Tweety. They are plotting against me. I am seeing late night whispered communications between cages.

An aquaintance of mine had their fire-alarm battery start dying... You know - that annoying "beep" every 30 seconds... Well - some Eclectus decided this was a nice sound - so now it always seems fire-alarm batteries are dying in that home...

Crying babies? Not so bad...

My freind with an CAG decided that a car alarm was a perfect sound to imitate... Several months later he still knows what it sounds like... And so do all of my friend's friends...

Oh the joys!! I'm kind of glad I have a Green Cheek :-) She just says "good girl" and imitates the starlings calling outside her window... I keep thinking they must have a nest in the eaves somewhere...
