Bird behaviour

Ok I'm not sure what this is. My little Buddy likes to sit on my shoulder and try to clean my teeth and mouth! I don't let him which makes him mad but I think it's rather unclean. Is this normal? Should I let him? Is this some kind of pruning thing that birds do?

It is normal for them to try and preen. Our mouths are not safe for birds to pick around in. We have certain natural bacterias that don't go well with birds. The good news is that he is caring enough about you to preen you!

hollyhawk I love the pics of the guard birds! I say that about Buddy, when someone he doesn't know comes in the house he screams at them until I tell him it's ok! I love those
