daily, before he goes to bed, paper gets changed, grate at the bottom gets totally cleaned and the bars get wiped down
water gets changed as frequently as he messes it up, and each morning and night there is fresh in the bowl, pellet food gets dumped every couple days unless it got fouled, fresh food gets dumped after a few hours.

The newspapers are placed so that they reach half a foot up the cage- to help catch all the lorry mess! I pile the newspaper too, and take one or two off every day until there are four left. Then the cage bars and the bottom tray is scrubbed. I don't use a grate because Ashling likes to play on the bottom of the cage (which is why it must be changed daily! Toys and branches are cleaned once a week.
I use a hot water and white vinegar solution and never use soaps or anything. I just soak everything with natural cleaners, then scour off. Dry food is changed when soiled/ every 2 days and any wet food/ fruit/veg is changed daily. Water is changed once or twice daily, depending on whether it has been dirtied or shaken out!

I don't use newspaper for the bottom and there's no grate in the bottom either so I scrub the seed tray every night with just hot water and a sponge. I empty the bottom under the tray as needed, depends on what he's eating. When I was getting Pixel addicted to millet I had to clean it very often since the hulls go everywhere! I change and wash his waterbottle every day and switch out his food everyday as well. Since he only has dry food I wash the bowls like every 2 or 3 days. I scrub down his whole cage once a month with just hot water and sometimes GSE. If there's poop on his perches I wait for it to dry and then scrub it of with a dry coarse sponge. The bird himself takes a bath almost everyday
