Do you save your birds molted feathers?

I've been saving them for awhile and have quite a beautiful collection of them in a wooden box. Mostly wing and tail feathers, but a few others that are interesting and colorful. My favorites are the mid-wing feathers of the blue budgies with stripes of white and blue. I have no idea what to do with them though.

I don't unless it's the long tail feathers. My poor IRN looks like she sneezed and her feathers fell off!

Yes, I keep all the feathers from my fids if in good condition. My accountant is a salmon fisherman and ties his own flies!

I have a few containers with beautiful Macaw feathers. The smaller feathers I give to a woman who makes collages and jewelry using them.

I save the feathers as well. I saved a lot of really gorgeous feathers my budgie Muffin had molted, a lot of tail and wing feathers, over the course of his life and have them in a matching blue container. He's passed on now. I'm really glad I saved them! I might see if I can do something creative with them, maybe something with a shadow box?

Wow, some of these ideas are cool. I don't save them but I feel bad about tossing them out as well. I will need to see if someone can use them.

I've been saving feathers with plans to put them in those clear glass Christmas ornaments this year (one for each fid). I think it would be a good way to remember them (not to mention it would look pretty cool! ).

I only thought to save a few of Beetle's so now I'm going overboard with Pickle's.

I have a little baggie full right now as he's nearing the end of his first molt. I plan on having a piece of jewelry made with some of the prettier ones, like the bright orange feathers from his primary coverts.
