Jogging parrot?

So people go on walks with their parrots. They go on car rides and bike rides and motorcycle rides.

But has anyone tried jogging with their bird? I imagine the motion wouldn't be the most comfortable, but I'm just kind of curious to see if anyone's ever tried such a thing...

These are the things I think about whilst wrapping PVC with vet wrap...

I've jogged with my Amazon with her aviator harness on. I would stop occasionally and give her a rest on a tree branch. She is more uncomfortable with the open sky than the bouncing. When I take her outside, I try to perch her in a spot with tree cover. I feel safer having my baby close to the house in case a hawk or some other danger appears.

Haha, fair enough. I was just curious. Perhaps we'll experiment much further down the line... But until then.

I've seen those stroller/cages for birds (or if you bird wears a harness, they could just sit on a normal stroller) that might work if you jogged on a paved trail. It wouldn't be quite as bumpy for them that way. ;)

I just hurdled three dogs, dodged around a corner and jogged from my bedroom to the kitchen with Ashling on my shoulder when the telephone was ringing just a minute ago. She's fine with the movement and excitement :)

As long as they are secure and safe I don't think they would have a problem and balancing while you run would be good excerise for them.

It's a duck, not a goose....

I've seen a couple of videos/pictures of people jogging with their birds, however, the birds were not *ON* their owners... they were free-flight trained... and one owner was actually on a horse. So in reality, the birds were flying, following the owner, or keeping within distance of the owner.
