Anyone in the Gold Coast area want to adopt a green cheek?
I’m looking for a forever home for my one year old green cheeked conure, Banjo. It breaks my heart to have to rehome him and I’m very much attached to him but I feel this is the best option.
The reason, if anyones curious, is that I’m moving to Melbourne to live with my dad and his house really isn’t suitable to keep a bird. He smokes, burns incense and doesn’t have screening on the windows so we would never be able to have the windows open for fear of Banjo getting out. Not to mention a cat and a dog who haven’t been raised around birds. I think the best thing for his sake is to find him someone in a more suitable environment that will love him as much as I do
I’m on the Gold Coast so anyone who is willing to drive here is welcome to come and meet him. He’s very tame (he’s out of his cage for at least 3 hours a day) but tends to bite the fingers of people he senses are nervous around him so for this reason, someone who has either had birds before or isn’t scared of a few nips might be best. He never bites me or my more bird friendly friends so I’m pretty sure it’s just a confidence thing. If you’d like to come and meet him or have any questions about him feel free to pm me or post here. I’m not really sure about putting a price on him so for now I’ll say $150 for him and all his stuff (toys, cage etc.) I’ll post this in the general discussion and conure sections so that more people hopefully see it. I just want to find him a nice, loving home.
