Black lories are supposed to have wonderful personalities and are supposed to be one of the more pet-worthy of the lories, though they are often overlooked due to their comparitively 'drab' colouring. (I think they are beautiful)
You should maybe look in the taming and training section, i'm sure there would be quite a bit of info on there. I would start by just sitting near her cage and talking to her, she will get used to the sound of your voice and your presence. As she gets more used to you, you can move closer and closer to the cage. Eventually, when you feel she is less frightened, you can see if she'll take a treat from your hand through the bars.

I had a black lory, he was untouchable when he first came here and two weeks later was already stepping up onto a stick and would let me touch him in his cage or on a perch outside. Unfortunately black lories are one of the shrillest and loudest lories and something in his constant call literally drove me to throwing up (pretty huh). I had to rehome him due to a 2 week long migraine. I think they are beautiful, not drab at all, opalescent hues of blues and reds.
