Question Does anyone like larger birds?

I hope i am not the only one in the universe that prefers larger birds to smaller birds.

and i mean large like 2 feet tall (not long, birds can stand up) and up.
my favorite REAL species has to be the Sarus crane, which is taller then me (which is like 10 different kinds of awesome to me).

You should come to our town-- we have an annual Ostrich Festival. No kidding! Real ostriches and all.

Usamma- I would LOVE a pet ostrich to ride!!! I wish emus were ridable (are they?)... we have them in abundance here!

Peacock- my fat duck is around 2 feet tall when she stretches, and I love her! :)

I've got a soft spot for flamingos. I just adore the old gentlemen we have at our zoo here in Adelaide. One has been with us for 75 years (the last greater flamingo in Australia) and the other one a Chilean who is 60 years old. There's just something about these guys that makes me melt.

doesn't Simba ride an ostrich in The Lion King? or something, haha... didn't know humans could do it, though! :D

that's pretty goofy, since most people here have their birds ride on them, not the other way around!

When the Beanie Babies and minis came out, I bought a lot of the pink flamingoes.. not sure why, but I just like the way the eat with their head upside down. Sometimes I call Hiccup a flamingo when he drinks out of his water dish... makes the same noise. Last night he was doing his water imitation while I was pouring a glass of water.
