possible new Aussies will be joining
G'day folks! Just wanted to let you know that I put in a good word for this website in my Cockatiel Society journal so hopefully some Aussies will be inspired to join up. It will be published and posted out in the next 2 weeks.
I think it is fantastic that birdlovers from all over the world can meet here and talk about our little feathered friends!

That's great. I have about 4 Aussies and New Zealanders that regularly post to my board. Its really cool for many of us own birds that are native to your countries and find it fascinating what you observe outside at your bird feeders. Especially in regard to Galahs. I can't imagine seeing an entire flock in my backyard. Welcome to the newbies from Down Under. THE OUTLAW

Hiya Everyone- It's one of those newbies from Australia!
Hiya
Just thought I'd drop in to announce myself. I'm a newbie from Australia. Recently got a new Indian Ringneck (about 5 months old) and we are going well with our bonding over the past few weeks... he will step onto my hand r wrist but then immediately heads north to try to get to my should, I'm trying to discourage that right from the start so we're having a minor power struggle there but he is doing really well so far.... I've benn coming in here for a few weeks & just reading other posts & it has helped so much to see issues and comments from others about their birds too.... Hope I can get to be good friends with everyone here over the many, many years of birdy love to come... CYA again soon

"G'day..."
My name is Helen, and I'll give you two guesses where I'm from... I just joined this Bird Board site on the advice of "Tiki"... (herro!  )I breed Cockatiels in Australia, we do have galahs and cockatiels and cockatoos in our backyard (which is a 'couple of acres'... but they aren't very popular as they eat the crops (yum, sorgum!) Gonna go and see what else is posted around here!!
