I can understand not wanting a bird that bites but it is not realistic to think that a bird will never bite.

Hahahaha.

"Just let me know what you got." -- yeah, yeah, just let me know what'chu got and, you know, send it on over. I got $10! And it needs to not bite or poop or squawk but OTHER THAN THAT I'd LOVE IT!

Hahaha. Ohhh, Craigslist.

Craigslist drives me nuts!!!! An what's gonna happen, they are going to get a bird, it is going to bite, be loud, demanding, messy and then it will be for sale on craigslist!! I hope no one is stupid enough to give them a bird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please. No self-respecting bird owner is going to go, "Gee, sure! Here you go!" There are ads like this ALL THE TIME (and not just for birds). I feel most people laugh at them and then ignore them.

Don't worry...

I sent them an email with some FACTUAL info. about birds and bird ownership. I directed them to this forum if they seriously want to know about birds. I hope they will read it and take it to heart. I'd hate to see another neglected, abused bird because someone got one without having a CLUE!! I'd like to think that no one would sell them a bird..but I know better. Especially with all the 'disposable' 'tiels I've seen on CL lately!!

haha I got my first bite after having my baby bird for an HOUR!! and $10 for a bird?? I wish people would really do their research before they post things like that. Join a forum, ask one million questions, really learn all you can before you just got out and look for one. Jag, Im glad you sent them an email - I wouldve done the same thing!!

Oh, no, guys, I know what kind of bird she's looking for...

Only it has fur, not feathers, and it's tail is more of a thick fleshy tone rather than bright and colorful. Oh, and it's called a "rat".

Because...that's about the only pet you can get for 10 bucks. It's also going to be a feeder that needs socializing ;P

"Baby" bird as her boys first pet....I swear, people want to treat EVERY animal like a freaking puppy.
