I used to see my lovebirds do this. It reminds me of a flamingo!

All my parrots do this. Not my finches though.

I read that it conserves heat because they have lots of blood vessels in their feet.

Chiquita and Boomer sleep on one foot with their heads tucked in their back. It means they are healthy. I read that if they are sleeping on two feet puffed up something is wrong.

Take notice that most Cockatoos sleep on two feet but sit down on the feet with fluffy feathers. Cockatoos also fuff the feathers around the beak to conserve energy and keep warmer. Toos and teils are the only ones who do this beak thing.

Warmth and energy yep yep. Every seen a pigeon or sparrow napping in a public area and "nesting" on the ground? Too cute ^^

Luca has a little bed, so she doesn't need to (the bottom is fleece) the other two don't seem to be confident enough in their balance to do that yet.

I stand like that on a regular basis. Helps your legs from getting exhausted too!

Abbey also does it. I have tried to see if she uses the same foot but she doesn't. I think it is very cute.
